Looking back at 2022

“Life can only be understood backwards, but it must be lived forwards” – Soren Kierkegaard

This post is a look back at this past year. It’s a reminder to pause and celebrate our accomplishments.

Thank you to all our clients who made this a fulfilling year.

We started off the year with a quote in Home Textiles Today magazine for our 2022 predictions. No surprise here – the keyword is “vintage”.

Kitchen and Bath Magazine published us for “what’s trending”

The National Kitchen and Bath Show in Orlando Florida was inspirational!

We then found a new local custom maker for our carved mushrooms

Off to another Industry event for the NJ Chapter of ASID

The last room in one of our multi-room projects was completed!

Back to the Design &Decoration Building for inspiration.

This year we vowed to use only hand blocked or bespoke prints.

And with that in mind…used a record number of bespoke fabrics in one room.

Our primary bedroom design project was completed!

We returned to the International Contemporary Furnishings Fair for more inspiration

Here’s the view from a NYC project we started this year.

And off to another factory visit.

What’s better than a little Matisse at the MOMA for inspiration?

A multi room project was published!

Hmm…is that George to the Rescue at the NJ ASID Design awards ceremony ?

The start of a bed and bath project.

And an August installation where my client joked (back August of ’21) about the furniture arriving in time for Easter

(okay, not so funny)

Our award winning bathroom project was published!

Summer antiquing in the Catskills

Then the start of another primary bathroom project…

Me, at an industry event, trying to win this chair by striking a pose (I didn’t win)

Scheming color combinations

And our first cover!

Near completion of the primary bedroom project

And we discovered the perfect rug for this sunroom project…

A NYC Installation… artwork currently in progress!

A little inspiration from the Folk Art Museum featuring self taught artist, Abe Hirshfeld

The (almost) completion of our Primary Bath project!

And a photoshoot fit in right before Thanksgiving

A hand made mosaic for our “Lower Level” Project

One half of the Lower Level project that we can’t wait to share!

We squeezed in a Primary bedroom … to be continued!

We’re so grateful for the opportunity to be able to work with so many wonderful clients.
