Bohemian. Vintage. Inspiring. Those were the three keywords I used when designing this space…for myself. Or so I thought.
A Place for her, this room became my story about how “if you design it, they will come”. Not my intention as this “mom’s refuge” was meant for quiet inspiration.
A place with an abundance of light and a seat with a view of nature.
I chose a vibrant silk screened wallpaper that would play with views of nature as well as act as a backdrop to the new blue-turquoise sofa.
Jade green upholstered chairs anchor a vegetable dyed rug that compliments the wallpaper. Purposely left off were the window treatments to be able to take in the spectacular view.
This quiet refuge has quickly become a place where this owner is finding an increasing amount of company.
And that’s okay too.
