Behind the scenes, FID focuses on ten design principles, that when used together, elevate any space. These principles are rooted in research on how design can make us feel, connect and live well in our surroundings.
Principal designer, Terri Fiori, has degrees in Interior Design as well as Communications with minors in Marketing and Art.
Terri is a Certified Aging in Place Specialist (CAPS), a GREEN AP and loves designing for multigenerational households and empty nesters. Terri is currently the President of The American Society of Interior Designers (ASID).
With a strong conviction that the cornerstone to great design lies in personality, Fiori’s eyes are always open for inspiration. Whether it’s scouring antique shops in New England or flea markets as far away as Europe, Fiori has the vision to turn every project into a one-of-a-kind statement.
Inspired by travel, Terri loves mixing new pieces with vintage textiles or local artisans hand-made pottery to create a beautiful time worn aesthetic – one that seems collected over time. This is what makes up the confident and thoughtful design details that ensure the start of a conversation.
Fiori Interior Design opened its doors in 2001 and has been recognized in publications such as The New York Times, DesignNJ, Aspire, Bergen Health and Life, NJ Home, The Star Ledger and 201 Magazine.
Terri lives in a busy multi-generational household in New Jersey with her husband, three children, mother-in- law and their photogenic Jack Russell Terrier, Winston.
